When was the last time you met up with all of your girlfriends? Can’t remember? Don’t worry, you’re not alone, and it’s totally understandable. Working moms, career-oriented single ladies, and moms staying at home to raise their families – everyone is busy fulfilling their roles in their everyday lives.
But, no matter how busy everyone may be, it’s still important to find time to be with each other and catch up on a few things. Unlike the gentlemen, ladies don’t have defined hobbies such as fishing, so it’s essential for women to make time just to hang out and “soak up each other’s awesomeness.”
Everyone deserves that break from living their fabulous lives, juggling everything while still looking stylish. Here are some fun ideas for the perfect ladies’ event so you and your friends can have the time of your lives:
Organize a relaxing spa night
Look and feel even more fabulous by getting massages and other body treatments in a Salt Lake City spa. Of course, you can also recreate all of your favorite luxuries at home. Gather your girlfriends and invite them over for some DIY manicure and pedicure.
Everyone can contribute by bringing their favorite nail polishes from home. Ever been to those fancy nail salons that bring you a glass of wine or champagne while you’re getting your nails done? Recreate that experience at home and share some funny stories.
Create the perfect atmosphere by adding some aroma candles and preparing a playlist of some excellent spa music. Other options include putting on some face masks or watching skincare routines on YouTube and copying every step.
Do a movie marathon
Going out for a movie at the theater with all of your best gals is a classic, but when you think about the ticket prices and snacks and getting glasses of wine of concessions, everything can quickly add up. If there’s nothing on the “Now Showing” list that piques your interest, just get the entire gang together at your house and binge all those movie adaptations of Jane Austen’s novels.
Or rewatch your favorite Gossip Girl episodes, as well as watch Crash Landing on You and swoon together over Hyun Bin oppa aka perfection personified. Everyone can come in their hoodies and PJs and cozy up on the couch together.
Ask everyone to bring their favorite snacks and drinks and break open a bottle of champagne of wine.
Go for a themed-potluck
As the host, you’re in charge of the main dish, but you can assign all the other complementary dishes to your friends. Choose a theme and ask everyone to bring anything related, whether it’s food or décor. Some theme ideas are sweets-only, wine and cheese, unusual ice cream flavors, vegan-only (or vegetarian), signature dishes from around the world, chocolates (with raisin, almonds, nuts), or greens-only.
Explain to everyone how the themed-potluck will work.
If you decide to go with favorite healthy dishes, this could be the perfect time for people to taste nutritious food items they’ve never had before. Be specific (for example, everything must be gluten-free) if you want to make it more fun interesting.
